Verizon has been known for locking down phones and hacks have been known to find workarounds. Well it looks like they did just that in finding a workaround for the Verizon Pixel 2 bootloader. For those with the Pixel 2 XL on Verizon, don't get too excited just yet as this method supposedly only works for the Pixel 2.
Hopefully we will soon be able to update this OP with the method for the 2XL.
