Hey guys, I just wanted to know if anyone asked about whether they were going to be grandfathered into the unlimited 4G for 30$? Someone I talked to said he asked and the manager told him that they would grandfather it. Really would like some confirmation as this might make me get one.

Typically they leave your plan alone until you make a change.

True im just worried that if I can upgrade around Christmas they'll start charging me tiered pricing for another 4G LTE phone.

If you get another 4G LTE phone you will be grandfathered.

Awesome! That's great news, my plan is to get the bolt skip the bionic and upgrade again around Christmas hopefully when even greater phones will be out.

Btw do they have extended batteries available for the bolt?

When I got my TB today, they offered a $49.99 plan which was unlimited and grandfathered, but said the $29.99 would not be grandfathered in. They said when it goes to tierd pricing the $29.99 plan would not be unlimited. Didn't know what level it would be though.

I will always get unlimited. The moment unlimited goes away, I will be sad or look elsewhere. That said, I've never used more than 2GB. I just don't like having to watch limits.

I have a feeling he was lying to you because verizon reps get more commission for those 49.99 plans than the 29.99 plans

I asked the same question when I got the TB and was told that the plan would stay for the duration of the contract.

Yeah as long as you dont sign a new contract your unlimited will remain.

And the only 49.99 plan is the data-only which isnt going to be unlimited.

Wow thanks guys! This really helps. Looks like I'm going to be joining you guys. I really still love my Droid X, we'll except the whole locked bootloader thing. But the unlimited 4G is just hard to pass up!

That's one of the biggest reasons why I upgraded. Unlimited 4G. My Droid II friend is jealous :).
Me too, but the tbolt is nice and I thought to give sense a chance despite my dislike of it from trying it on the eris. From what I've seen seems like a pleasant experience.
