I know this topic is old, but I am hoping and praying that someone can help!

I have read the instructions here, and am trying to delete the .android_secure folder (and specifically the smdl2tmp1.asec file), but when I try to do this on my PC (in USB Storate Mode), I'm being told that Access Is Denied. Is there any way to gain access to do this???

Same problem - but no .android_secure folder.

I have a stock HTC Incredible running 2.2. I have the same problem when updating apps stored on the SD card. I mounted the phone via USB to my PC and searched for the .android_secure. It does not exist on my SD card or the internal storage. The first file listed on the SD card is .bookmark_thumb1.

Any other ideas? My program updates are piling up now.

Nevermind.

I found the folder.

I:

1. unmounted the sd card.
2. Powered the phone off.
3.Remounted the card.
4. Powered it back on.
5. Reconnected it to the PC via USB.
6 THEN my PC showed not one but TWO SD Cards. So, the phone storage was H drive and then it showed two J drives. It was in the second one. Don't know why, or if the 1st was the internal 750MB RAM, the 2nd the internal 8gb of storage and the 3rd, the actual SD card, BUT I don't care 'cuz MY PROGRAMS ARE ALL UPDATING ON THE SD CARD. WOOHOOO!

Go Butler!
