unknown email chimes

Several times a day my Droid will chime up to four times indicating that new emails are being recieved, yet no emails are recieved. Any idea why this is happening?

If you are not using the stock app verify that you removed that notification for that app. If that is not the issue check your other apps and make sure that the notifications are not the same as your email.

Are you checking the notification bar when you hear these notifications? You can try changing your email notification. Pay attention to whether or not the same tones sound or if they change after you change the email notification sound.

nothing comes up on the notification bar. I've gone in and change the email chime/tone. I'll give a few days and see it helps. Thanks
