So I installed the Leaked 2.3 and now I want to uninstall it. How do I go back to 2.2.1? I Backed it up using bootstrap before the 2.3 update...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You're going to have to sbf. Are you familiar with the procedure?

you have a droid x right? the #5 link in my signature has a very good tutorial on the process. you'll need a computer.

So what was the point in doing a backup prior to the update?

So you can go back to it after you restore via sbf

Couldn't go back using RSDLite, couldn't see the phone. Any suggestions?

FYI on SBF and backup

You do not need to SBF to roll back to a nandroid backup after installing the gingerbread leak...Bootstrap recovery, then simply format data and cache, then restore the backup of your choice. Done and done!

You need to be rooted to go back to a prior version. Unless he rooted, bootstrap won't work.

OR, you can install the deodexed 2.3.3, and then use the D2 bootstrap.

If you are on the leaked GB then yes you do need to SBF back. We got a new kernal I'm on the gingerbread leak and just a backup will not change that. Only a SBF will put you back to the correct kernal.

When I tried that a few days ago I had the red Moto boot logo followed by my old Rubbix animation and it bootlooped until I SBF'd back.

I don't recall wiping the data and cache so maybe a simple format+flashback will work.

Anyhow....

This link is the most straight forward set of files I've found so far.
It includes rsd 4.9, SW 0.04 flasher drivers, full and system-only SBF's.

I downloaded the full 2.2.1 SBF, flashed it, went into recovery to delete /data and /cache, then after one more reboot (5 minutes!) my phone was running Froyo with a factory blank slate.

At this point you'll have to activate with Verizon.

Then to go back to my backup, I downloaded z4root and Droid x bootstrap and restored my nandroid backup so the phone was 100% back the way I had it before messing with gingerbread.

There are probably simpler ways, but I can say that worked for me.
