Is there an add on txting app that u can get so that each number can have a different ringtone like it would if they were calling

in handcent, open the conversation between you and the person you want to customize. top right hit the settings button (person with a gear) click notification settings and then notification sound. that should let you do what you want

If you enter the thread of the person you are trying to edit you press the menu key and the options should be in there somewhere.
