Cheap devices just keep getting better and better all the time. They are getting so good that you almost have to ask yourself why are you paying for $800 devices in the first place. If you want an excellent Android experience the most you really have to pay is about $200. The only aspect of these mid rangers that really keep them from mass adoption is the fact that the Android skin overlay is normally kind of sloppy and or bloated.
The good news is that many of the midrangers are also incredibly developer friendly. This means you can easily install whichever software you want. The Xiaomi RedMi Note 3 is one of the most powerful $200 smartphones available. Not only is it a very capable device it has a beautiful metal build. The included MIUI software is more like iOS than Android and won't be everyone's cup of tea.
Fortunately TWRP is now available for the device. Once TWRP is installed you can make full backups, flash mods, or flash full on roms like CM13 giving your Redmi Note 3 a true Android experience. Head to the link below for the download.
