turning off sound

I just got my Droid Maxx yesterday , coming up from a Droid RAZR.

I can't seem to find a way to turn the sound off - other than of course using the volume buttons. But the RAZR has a feature you could just slide to turn off the sound, like when in a meeting, or DR, office, or whatever, then slide it all back on after leaving.

Is there such a thing on the maxx ???

Got it.....
Press and hold power for a few seconds (the screen must already be on, but this will work while the phone is locked.) There will be a pop-up with buttons at the bottom for Silent, Vibrate, and On.

I have seen this screen all the time but never looked closely at the bottom... DOH !!!!
