Turning Off Red LED Low Battery Light?

Is there any way to turn off the red LED that flashes when your battery is low? It's annoying when my phone is around 15% and I get messages but can't see the green LED because the red one stays on until I charge my phone.

i agree. i have a new extended battery and this is annoying
