trying to root with un-revoked3 but keeps saying i need to unistall htc sync

I never downloaded HTC syc on my pc I'm running windows xp also I'm having a problem installing the hoot drivers can anybody help. Oh an by the way I'm trying to root a Droid incredible I been researching and it looks awesome especially the great Roms that are out there for rooted phones any help will be appreciated.
