I have a stock phone without service. I'm using it like an itouch. I went over to the verizon store yesterday and asked if they would update my phone. They said they don't have it, which I find hard to believe.
How do I get the update? I have seen a few threads about manual updates, but will any 2.2 update work or does it have to be a droid x 2.2 update? I'm kind of worried about getting an update that has been tampered with if I download it. How can I get a clean update?
