2.2 Manual Update Failed.. but still works?

I tried to manually install 2.2 a couple of days ago and I got a message saying that it failed. I decided to just hit reboot and deal with 2.1 for a little while longer. When it rebooted I was at 2.2 and everything seemed to work fine. However, yesterday my phone would not unlock after hitting the unlock button so I did a battery pull and its working fine again. I have a feeling it might not have installed right? Should I go back to 2.1 stock and wait for the 2.2 update or will the "failed" manual update not be a problem?

Interesting dilemma. If the phone settings says 2.2 one would believe the OS has been updated. On the other hand, when the install says failed and you have problems unlocking the phone one would think install not successful.

Give it a day or two. If you still have problems go back to 2.1 then decide if you want to receive the OTA or do another manual update.

My two cents
