Trouble downloading apps

This may be something that is simply my error, but since the 2.2 update (I assume), I haven't been able to update or download any apps. The market lets me search for them, and then lets me "install", but it never actually starts downloading, leaving anything I try at the "starting download..." phase with the scrolling bar.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be amazing. It's frustrating not being able to add anything new. It's a pretty new phone (just ran out of CityID yesterday), so I still don't have all my ideal apps.

On the Droid Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Market/Clear Cache seems to be the fix

I am sure it is close to the same for the Dinc

Not to be contrary, but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.
The Data that is listed, would clearing that help or hurt?

It can't hurt to try

BTW...this fix wasn't working for everyone, but it seemed to work for most
