similar as droid 1.. Power on while holding x, but then click on the physical keyboard, the search button. As far as battery pull, I doubt that is your problem, I did it yesterday and allowed it to boot all the way up. I could be wrong. Are you sure it went through and not failed. Because it wipes your phone pretty much.

you are going to have to wait for the new drivers from motorola.

everything has to be done exact or it will fail. you have to have the correct drivers and have followed all the steps to set it up correctly. Be patient. I Know the frustration, I went through it for almost a week before I realized what I needed to do to get it to work.

my failure was I forgot a step (what I highlightd in red). You just need the 64 bit drivers.

yeah im keeping my cool i know i can get it working again. i think it might be the drivers the 4.6 was for my droid 1 so it just might be that had a similar problem before but it wasn't recognizing my phone. ill check back after i let my phone rest and see if motorola sites working. thanks for the help.

yes that is your issue, as you stated, you will need the 4.7 drivers (think its actually listed as 4.7.1), but once you get that try it again and see what happens.
