Travel to Mexico

Our family is taking a trip to Cabo San Lucas next month and plan to not use our phones at all while in Mexico. However, I would love it if my 6 year old could be entertained by playing Angry Birds during the flight. Is this going to be possbile without buying the global data plan through Verizon?

You don't need cell service to play games.

Put it in Airplane mode and make sure nobody turns that off or you'll get hit with some nice usage fees.

Or, just call verizon and ask them to put an international use block on your account, just to make sure.
