Transferring data from UD2.5 to UD3.1

I'm in the process of upgrading from 2.5 to 3.1 and am doing a complete wipe since most seem to report better success this way.

I use SPRecovery to do my flashing. I made a full backup of my 2.5 setup. How do you transfer your data (ie. Txt msgs, notepad notes, etc.) to 3.1? I've tried installing a fresh clean version of 3.1 and "restoring" only the "data" portion of my backup through SPRecovery, but no luck. It just sits on the bootup screen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SMS Backup & Restore for texts

I redownloaded all my apps and only restored SMS/MMS/APN from Titanium backup. Worked perfectly. I always had tons of issues when i tried restoring apps from froyo.
