Transferring Apps from an EVO to a Galaxy 3

I just bought a Galaxy 3 and transferred all of my Google contacts from my EVO. Unfortunately, I did not save about 800 of my contacts as "Google contacts" so they are stuck on my EVO. I tried saving the contacts on my EVO to an SD card, then sticking the SD card int he Galaxy using an app called "Go Contacts" but the Galaxy would not read the SD card to import them over. If anyone has any ideas (apps, procedures, etc.) on how to help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Did you try to "export" in your contacts / settings to SD card and then open up the stock contacts app on the S3 and select "import"?
