Transfering Game Saves

Not sure if this has been covered, could find any info so here it goes.

Is it possibe to transfer game saves from one phone to another? I'm up for an upgrade from my Droid 1 and am waiting for the Bionic. I was hoping to be able to transfer the progress I've made on a couple games over to my new phone when the time comes.

The only way that i've found to do this requires you to be rooted and use Titanium backup to backup the APP + Data. I've personally used this for games when switching phones and it generally works great. kept all my angry birds and crusade of destiny data! i've moved game data from a D1 to a D2 and a D2 to a D2 Global.

There may be another way that i'm unaware of, but this is the only one i've tried.
