I went from OG Droid to Bionic. Will I get something in the mail so I can trade in for $100?

From what I've read you can only trade in a standard phone to receive the rebate, it does not work if you trade in a smart phone.

I would keep the Droid and use it as a wifi device only. Very handy when during in the house perusing the forums without draining the battery.

I sold my old 1st gen droid for 75 bucks on craigslist. Verizon trade in woulda only gave me 25 bucks.

the $100 card is only for people who are upgrading there line from a standard phone to a smart phone. they gave me a $100 instant discount when I upgraded to a smart phone about 6 years ago. And they didnt even take your standard phone back then. the idea is to get more people on data plans. they offer this $100 for a few months then take it away, then bring it back...etc... You would think they would be offering more than $100 by now since its been the same deal for at least 6 years.
