Totally blank black screen??

Ok sooo I decided to get into the Christmas mode and download a new theme on my rooted droid. So I had U.d. 2.3.0... and I saw there was a new 2.4.0 So I flashed that on there, after having to reformat my card. Then I tried to flash the theme and it said everything went fine and I went to reboot, and it went to the Motorola logo like usual and then it acted like it was going to show the boot screen but there is nothing. Its just kinda froze! Does this mean its bricked???? What do I do!!!!

I took out the battery and then tried to reboot and it did the same thing so I tried to back it up and it said something about can't mount sd card and no file found?

First I would make sure your SD card is seated right. Then try to reboot and go into recovery. You said you made a nandroid? But the very first thing to do is call me so I can umm.....walk you through the fix.... ;)

Reboot into recovery and reinstall the rom. Then let it boot and see how it runs. If you still want to try the theme, do a nandroid backup first.

Good luck and keep us posted. :)

LOL Ok I will call you prolly tomorrow night and get some help with it. I have tried re seating the card I have tried just about everything. It won't let me mount the card, It won't let me enable mass storage and it won't let me do a restore. They all give me Errors

Step one at this point is trying a new SD card. It sounds like the one you have is totally dead. Make sure the contacts on the card are clean (use a toothbrush) and try it in a card reader or another device to see if that device or reader can recognize it. If so there may be something wrong with your recovery image or phone. But try another card in the phone.

Good idea fur-man. I was actually getting ready to post that. Try the SD in a laptop or card reader and hopefully you can recover your data.

Try reflashing it back to stock with ese84 sbf through rsdlit then reflashing clockwork recovery, then flashing your rom. taking it back to the "og" ( i know, not the original og) may work.

Hey! So I tried to card in my blackberry storm2 and it works just fine? Not a problem at all! I guess should I try a new sd card?? I'm thinking it may be time to go back to stone ages and just stick with the blackberry

 Why is it everyone says that?

Well, if you feel that's best, that's your decision. Try another card in the Droid, however, before you commit.

Are you sure you flashed a 2.4 theme onto your 2.4 installation? Or was it for 2.3?

Yes, the theme I wanted was ud 2.4 and i was on 2.3 so first I flashed the ud 2.4 and it went good and then when i tried to flash the 2.4 Christmas theme is when it all went downhill
