To Charge or Not to Charge

This morning I got caught in a sudden rain storm, I tried to protect the phone from getting wet but I got soaked which means the phone definitely got some water in it. However, unlike other posts, it didn't turn off but has instead been going haywire with different apps/features/buttons working at times but not at others. The phone works, I can get phone calls, make phone calls, send and receive texts and for the most part access apps and use them. My biggest issue is that the power button won't lock or power off and at times the home keys (menu, home, back, etc) don't work. The touch screen works perfectly so assuming someone calls me or I call myself to unlock the screen I technically have a functioning phone.

Of course, soon enough the battery will run out, so do I charge the phone or follow the advice I've read everywhere online to put it in rice for a day and then charge it?

But I can't turn it off! I've tried to find a way to turn it off without having to use the power button and haven't been able to find it.

Try doing the simulated battery pull...hold the Power button down then the Volume Down button...see if that powers it off..

Thanks BodyBagz, tried that and nothing happened so I can't tell one way or the other if it worked. Its in a bag with rice now, crossing my fingers and praying to the cell phone gods that 24 hours from now when I try to turn it on or plug it in to charge it works!

As was said, definitely get it charging, and stick it in rice.

DROID RAZR MAXXIMIZED!!!! are we vanquished yet?????
