ROFLOL. I didn't realize there was a War going on. I just upgraded my iPad to 4.2.1.
4.2.1 allowed multitasking, Droid already does that. It allowed you to make custom folders, Droid already does that. It moved a switch that turned of screens rotations. It moved the mute switch. There is a very vocal crowd of people that are extremely disappointed in it, as you have with any other updated, but the majority of people are happy.
What really cracks me up is all of a sudden there in controversy about apps running in the background with multitasking. Some are saying there should be a kill switch (task killer?). You see a lot of the same stuff you see over here.

I'd like to say that I wouldn't switch to an iOS device were it to become available on Big Red. However, unless Google does alot of work to the marketplace, I might be forced to make the switch. Here is a link to my thread about the problems with Google's marketplace, for reference:

In the end, I like the absolute customization of Android; but to be honest there's nothing I do with my phone on a day to day basis that I couldn't do on an iOS device. I am heavily invested in the iTunes app market since i've owned an iPod Touch for a couple of years, so it's not like I would have to repurchase a million apps. At this time, it would be a decision i'd have to think long and hard about. All things being equal, the (apparent) cancellation of X-Plane Mobile for Android might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back. In the end, it all boils down to which device would allow me to do the most without carrying more than one device. And if Google's marketplace doesn't improve, that device might well end up running iOS.
