With all the Galaxy S8 leaks ahead of the launch we are pretty sure that the phone will totally ditch the physical home button that Galaxy devices have been known for. The device will pick up a row of software buttons to take the place of the former physical versions. Now we are hearing reports that the Galaxy S8 may include a pressure sensitive home button. This would allow for things like quick launching the camera or other apps based on how much pressure you apply when pressing the home button.

Samsung is apparently also working on the pressure sensitive OLED displays for the iPhone 8. Samsung already has experience with pressure sensitive displays as they manufactured the pressure sensitive display in the Huawei P9. There are now rumors floating around that the Note 8 will include a full pressure sensitive display. Other Android devices are able to do this with software via "long press". Do you think a pressure sensitive display is necessary?
