The OnePlus 5T will be launched Thursday November 16th. That being said the first ever unboxing video has already hit the web, and was instantly removed. OnePlus has already sent out review units to various youtubers who have had a chance to formulate some thoughts about the device and get a video produced. It looks like one of those Youtubers was sent the device, but was apparently never asked to send an NDA. What would you do if you were given the phone early with no NDA as a tech reviewer? He promptly uploaded his unboxing video as any tech youtuber would. As you would imagine OnePlus was not very happy. They asked him to remove the video, and of course he complied.
Since he removed the video one other channel has uploaded the video which was quickly removed, and then a second channel reuploaded the video. Surely the second reupload will be removed pretty quickly as well. We learned a few things from the unboxing video. First of all OnePlus has moved the finger print scanner to the back. Secondly the OnePlus 5T has more of a bezeless display. The reviewer box came with some OnePlus official cases. The device they sent out came with 128GB of onboard storage. The new OnePlus 5T now has a new facelock feature. The display remains 1080p. This is going to be one of the best bang for your buck devices with a Snapdragon 835 cpu and 8GB of RAM at $500-$600. What are your thoughts on this minor update?
