texting notify?

Can you assign different tones to text messages? I know you can on other droids, but can you with the Incredible? Please tell me how..

messages, menu, settings can set text sounds but if you mean different sounds per contact then I don't know about that. Sorry, but hoped I helped a little.

Somewhere I read that you could try SMS Popup. Give that a try maybe or even Handcent.

Ringo lite. Works great for both regular settings and individual contacts for text and call. One of my favorite apps for setting up my phones contacts
