Texting issue

Hi,

My wife's Droid 2 Global is having problems when she tries to text. The on screen and physical keyboards both skip around and sometimes close the text typing box.

It is running 2.3.3 and it is rooted. system 4.5.608.A956

Any suggestions on a cure? No water damage. It does this both on regular text messaging and Go SMS. I installed Go SMS after she was having problems to see if it might help but it does not.

I may have posted this in the wrong forum. If so can someone please move it? Sorry about that.

Sounds like it could be a bad app. I'd probably do a factory reset and restore one app at a time to see if it still occurs.

Well I guess I might try this. I don't know what else to do at this point.

You could also make a backup first just in case it doesn't help.

I think that it worked. It took a while for me to get her phone set up the way it was but so far texting is working for her.

Wish I had seen this earlier. It's possible that you just needed to wipe the system cache, but you've got it cleared up now so no biggie. Glad you got it worked out.
