Text Message On Nofitcation Bar?

A text message shows up on my notification bar but don't show up in my Messaging app so I can't get rid of it.
Has anyone ever had this problem?
How did you fix it?

Yea but it just goes to a blank text

You know sometimes just a simple reboot of the phone fixes problems that are seemingly very strange.

What kind of phone are you using?

Are you able to provide us with some screenshots?

Go to phone settings, applications, tap applications, scroll down to your text app, tap it, scroll down to clear cache, tap it. If that doesn't work try same as above but tap clear data.
Tapping clear data will erase all texts and photo messages so do that only if clear cache doesn't work.

If you want to backup your texts before you clear the data, use a free app called SMS Backup. It can backup your text messages to Gmail, and restore them if you wish.
