Text message length?

Just wandering if any of you guys knew a way to allow for longer text messages. Basically I feel like it is ridiculous that I can't send as long of a text message as I want to. Is there a way to overide the letter limit?

That's Verizon, not the phone. I believe it is 160 characters. You can still write as long of a message as you want, but it will split into multiple messages.

handcent.

lets you type more than 160 characters, but it breaks it down to two messages of course

No, but you can use Handcent from the market and it will break up the longer ones (Over 160) into separate sms's

The stock messaging app does the same thing.

But it tends to deliver the messages out of order (at least in my experience). Several different times I've gotten texts back from dumb friends who couldn't figure out what I was saying because the 3 texts it came in as were out of order... :icon_rolleyes:

With handcent, I believe I remember seeing an option stating that any text over a certain page limit (a page being 160 characters), it will send it as one MMS, therefore saving your text plan from the difference. That program has a ridiculous amount of options!

Message is a way to communicate with your friends and relatives anywhere in the world. The message text length is maximum 160 characters. One message length is 160 characters. After 160 characters your message you can continuing your message but its count as a two messages.
