Text deleting problem

I have several massage threads showing up in my text history showing the date Dec 31,1969. I am unable to delete these from my history. You are able to select them like any other thread and click delete but nothing happens. Messages are still there after reboot and battery pull. Anyone have this problem or a solution to delete the messages without deleting my entire messaging history. I am using the default text with my Droid X. Thanks in advance.
