Text and Email Notification

Is there a way to put a bubble notification on the screen icon saying i have unread text messages or emails like the iphone

Use the widget and check under settings. Mine displays number of unread texts in the notification bar.

Handcent SMS can do a number of different notifications like pop up text windows, notification bar, and a widget that displays the number of unread messages. It can also be configured to have custom notifiers for each of your contacts so you will know who texted you by the notifier.
