Tasker Variables...Guide?

I'm not a super genius but I'm not a tech moron either. I know enough about my Motorola Defy to have been able to Root Nand backup and install custom roms. For me if something is complicated then it must be worth the effort to learn it. With that said, I bought Tasker and see its incredible potential. I want to be able to use learn how to use the variables with it but have only found sights that talk about them as if I should know what they are and how to use them already. Can anyone explain what they are and how to use them starting at not knowing anything other than that they exist. Or, send me a link of where to find this info (already looked) thanks.

Yes, I already found that posting. I just noticed the flow control link. The first page doesn't tell me much but I will look over the flow control page and get back

Looked at the flow content. Still Greek to me. Apples, pears...bannanas? I get what the variables stand for and I understand the less than equal to concept. What I need to someone to show me how to go from stuff like what is in the pics above to variables actually doing something and showing me how and why.

Is there ANY way to MMS a picture using Tasker? If not does anyone know any way to automate Android to...
1. take picture and MMS it to a predetermined number? all automatically.

Any help is deeply appreciated. I'm pay for the help too, if needed.
