There is an excellent sure type keyboard available which I believe was ported from an htc. It is called htcime. PM If you are unable to locate it and I'll track down the link.

Here is the link I used to create my themed keyboard. Mine was for an D1 which may be different, but it is worth a try. As I recall, this required installation of the clicker file (screen calibration) in addition to the keyboard. It has been so long, I can't remember if it was an apk file or if it was an update zip install, but the link should have those instructions.
