System update ...

So I'm on 8.0.0 and this morning got a notification to update 7.1.2.... I know it's just a security patch but this is odd to me. Any suggestions?

Weird. Are you on official 8.0 or did you flash/install via the beta?

Official OTA.... Took the update to see what would happen. Installed fine, still on 8.0.0 but the security patch was updated to 9-5.... The whole thing was weird.

I was gonna suggest it was the security patch, but the fact that they neglected to change the Android version number struck me as odd. Glad it worked out in the end!
