Syncing the Native Task App

Is there a way to sync the native task app that comes on the android with my gmail?

Tthis really bugs the mess outta me, because I've been trying to figure this one out for a long time. I have my hotmail as well as my gmail synced to my phone and when I go to the native task app and hit "options>settings" it shows that I can switch which storage I want to use to store the task (the device storage, or my hotmail) but my gmail is not an option. Ive tried everything and no dice!

Anyone know?

The last time that I asked, I was told that Google didn't have a task list client for phones. I have downloaded and use a third party app called Google task organizer. It works fine for me. I have it syncing both my personal gmail account and my work gmail.

I wish that were the case but on my DROID bionic it came pre installed.

There is a native task list app, but to my knowledge it is not a mobile client for the google tasks in gmail.

It may not work with Gmail but apparently it works with Hotmail
