Sync/transfer emails

I know this must be buried some where, but I can't find it. I have my Droid 3 configured to receive emails from my provider. How do I transfer emails and responses to my home computer (Outlook 2007)

Set your email up on Outlook the same way you did the phone.

I have my email delivered to both my computer and phone and I set my preference for deleting email on the server only if I delete it on Outlook. I read, write and delete from my phone, then process email on my computer later when I get to it. If this us what you want to do, you set up Outlook the same way you do your phone and it works like a champ!

I know my exchange email sync every folder (in,out, sent, etc). My stock email is hit or miss. They are supposed to. There is an option on email on phone to automatically cc an email address. You can do that and cc yourself, this way you will always have a copy. You may be able to bcc yourself, so the receipiant doesn't see the cc.

O yeh, I forgot to say. My regular email is pop3.
I checked, under account settings-> message settings, is where the auto bcc feature is.

That's the problem. Pop3 is limited in what it syncs and what not.

You can check with your provider to see if something higher (like IMAP) is available.

If not you can use GMAIL to remedy it.

The BCC is a good work around for the future, but I need to get the current "sent" messages into my PC. Any other suggestions for Pop3 accounts?

You can set it up so that you can use gmail.

Mail would still go through your regular email but stuff would be easily accessed from Gmail. Like sent and sent and what not.

Kind of a free way to get IMAP on an account.

Check your email provider web site settings for your email account. I saw settings in my comcast account where you can change settings to delete off the server after so many days so maybe there's a setting to delete after download which you'd want to set the way you want yours to work?
