Sync FB Pics to Contacts List

I just got the Motorola DROID 2 Global. I'm coming from the Motorola DROID. I'm really loving this new phone. Lots of new features to get used to. One I can't figure out:

My old DROID used to go through my phone contacts, and pair them to my facebook contacts. Which was nice mostly cause the names in my contacts list would have the same pic as their facebook page. Which worked well for keeping track of who is who. I can't get this to work on the DROID 2 Global. Not a single pic of any of my contacts.

To be clear, I don't want my facebook contacts to show up in my contacts list. I just want pics from the people's facebook that are in my contacts list.

Anyone know how to get this working. A BIG BIG thanks for any help anyone can offer. I really appreciate it.

If you added the acct to settings/accts/ then it should have automatically defaulted to facebook. You can try deleting and recreating the acct.

There also an app, SyncMyPix on the market. Free and you can choose which contacts get synced with which photos.

Thanks guys. It seems like if I leave my contacts list open for a while, it will slowly update all the pics. But once I close it down again and reopen, they are all gone again.

Am I gonna have to wait a few weeks before the phone wirtes a cache or something? Are you guys getting a sync right away when you open your contacts? Do the pics show up right away?

My FB pix are sync'ed with my contact list all the time, there when I click the person icon, all sync'ed with all sorts of info. I don't even know how I did it; one day I opened the contacts and there they were.

I noticed that on a stock phone when you install Facebook for android there is no option to sync contacts with your phone contacts, you are forced to add a motoblur facebook account for that functionality i think. If you are running fission on your D2G then when you install FB for android the option to sync contact information with you phone contacts appears during setup, I had mine checked as Sync Only Contacts in phone and it worked fine.

What in the world is "motoblur"?

It's the customizations Motorola made to Android, akin to HTC Sense or Samsung TouchWiz. The original Droid was the only Moto Android phone without some version of Blur on it, it was plain android.
