Swype

It is used in ALL text fields, but you can pick and choose letters to form a word like you would the stock-keyboard, so you don't LOSE any features (except the list of words it thinks you're trying to type, I guess)
 
Also, double tap the little Swype "S" on the bottom left of the keyboard and it has a "Tutorial" option.

Take the tutorial, it has helped me out quite a bit.
