Switching between SMS apps on Maxx - am I missing something obvious?

I was using Handcent and decided to give GO Sms a try. Now, when I get a text, I get two pop-ups, two notifications in the notification area, etc (one for Handcent, one for GO).

I don't want to uninstall Handcent, in case I want to switch back again. But how can I make GO the default SMS app, so I only get one set of notifications?
Can I set a default somewhere? Do I just have to go into Handcent and turn off the notifications?
