switch browser from froyo launcher?

Does anyone know of a way to switch the browser app from the Stock Froyo (2.2) launcher with a different app?? I've tried searching the forums with no success.

Install another browser and when you start it it will as you to choose a default browser to use.

I was actually referring to another app all-together, such as handcent in place of the browser app, somewhat like the helixlauncher. I should have been more specific.
