Stuck trying to download app but when I canc, I get FC

Adobe Flash had an update and it got stuck on the download part and wouldn't complete so I deleted Flash all together and went back to download it but each time I go back, it says "downloading" but doesn't actually do anything. When I hit cancel, it makes the market force close. Any suggestions?

Wipe your market's data cache and try again.

settings/applications/all apps/Market. As furbearingmamal said then wipe cache and data. Ignore the data warning.
