straosphere connection

So my girlfriends stratosphere is dropping 3g like mad. She cant do anything. Post a status on fb or anything. The odd thing if its a vzw issue shouldnt we both have a issue i have a droid 4 and althought i usually dont drop 3g ( we dont live in a 4 g area) should she still being. I turned the phone on and off and tried everything but pulling the sim car/ data reset. Any other ideas. ( today seems like the worst day for it ever its says she has 3g but wont load anything)
