Strange Battery Drainage?

Hi everyone this is my first post so please bear with me,
I got my droid x on christmas and its been great so far until I started going back to school again. I go into the day with a full charge and when I check my phone after school is over its at 30%. Its been consistent in doing that every school day. There is almost no signal in my school, maybe a little bit every now in then but not very much. Whats going on?

That sounds about right. I charge my phone overnight, and then plugged into my car on my way to school. I unplug it and use it like normal during school, but during my 2nd period if I do not plug it in it will go from about 90-70 or 60 percent, just in that 1 hour 30 minute period, because I get absolutely 0 signal in that class. So, I just bring in a spare charger, and charge my phone during that class. It's electronics, so he doesn't care.


Any phone while searching for signal, will use the crap out of it's battery.

If your phone is searching for a signal, it will use the battery more than normal. From what i've seen.

Oh okay thanks then. Is there are way to fix that or at least minimize it?

If you know you're in an area where the signal is spotty, or bad...put it in Airplane Mode...it will turn off all wireless signals.
