Stopping the 'music' instead of it in 'pause' mode

I played around with music on the Music app, then back arrowed, and the app still plays. I will it just quit, or had the option to close/stop app. Pain.

I'm not completely understanding the problem. The app is designed to play in the background. When you want the music to stop, just press pause. There is no reason to exit the app. The OS will take care of it for you. Does this help?
