Newsflash : all cell phone carriers put bloatware on their phones. If it's that big a deal to you then root, uninstall, and stop whining about it. :D

wht we are trying to tell you is its been done already: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...re-loaded-apps-see-how-take-action-today.html

The result is we still have bloatware but we also have a nexus.

Why did you let yourself get beat? Make it public, share their carelessness, keep bugging them, get more people to follow. Facebook or something and likes.

They DO NOT MAKE MONEY THROUGH BLOATWARE! You guys absolutely need to understand that. The only reason the bloat is there is because they want US to see the bloat. The bloat is for us. If we begin to cause an uproar, they might lose future customers and so on. The bloatware devs will lose money too and cause a chain reaction through the manufacturer.

If you really believe that bezos doesn't pay Verizon (and all the other carriers) to put amazon MP3, etc, on your phone you've gotta be smoking something incredibly good. If it really jacks with you that much and you don't want to root, go to ebay or wherever, pay retail for an unlocked quad band global whatever you want and park it on whatever carrier you want it on, basically pay your own phone subsidy. That would set you back, what ? $800 for a razr or nexus? OR you can root and remove like the rest of us, and have that Razr, Nexus, D4, whatever flips your switch for $199 or so and pay for your minutes and bandwidth for half a year (and be month to month with no contract) with the other $601. That is the only math in this equation, the carrier subsidizes your phone (usually about 75% of it, or more) in exchange for 1. a contract and 2. putting bloat on your phone that they get paid to expose you to by people that sell stuff (gaming companies, amazon, etc). Root it or pay more money. You can't fight business, its capitalism, this is America.

Right! Cell phone companies put it there out of the kindness of their hearts and make no money off it! :icon_eek:

If they didn't ship these phones with the bloatware preinstalled, most people would think the only place to get content was from Google Play.

90% of Verizon's bloatware is for accessing Verizon services, anyways. And you're smoking some good crack if you think Verizon doesn't make any money off of their own services.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Verizon NO MATTER how you put it, makes money through the customer. Not the developers and bloatware, because the bloatware are spammed to the consumer. If there is NO consumer, why would developers want to fund it without a customer base?

Developers make money through the consumer, so they pay Verizon to force crap onto us. Verizon makes money because the developers wants to GET TO US. Therefore the customer is the KEY most important factor to MONEEYYY. Verizon is interested in US because we ALLOW them to sell them the rights to OUR phones that we BOUGHT and own.

Verizon is like a child and we are the parent. We can stop them from anything resonable. We fund Verizon and we can make them do whatever we want if the vast majority of people go along with it. Because without us they don't have developers that pay for spam, for contracts, for over use, for everything.

Ill use TMOBILE as an example. They started using the NOTIFICATION bars on Android phones for spam through an update recently. Their customers WERE So pist off that they were FORCED to remove the spam and they did. Why? Because it posed a threat to their success and got enough people pist off to catch their attention.

Why would customers allow a company to ignore them? It's simply stupid. It's like customers complain and complain, and they just sit back and let them do whatever they want without doing anything.
Verizon is OUR company. WE MAKE VERIZON. Not developers.

I don't mean to burst your bubble Cripton, but there is a huge difference between preloaded bloatware and spam ads through our notification bar. Verizon apps don't have to see use and can remain in the drawer, or if you're on ICS, hidden/frozen. Now spamming a phone through the notification system via text is a completely different thing and something we're not able to see before purchasing a phone, that's why T-Mobile took so much heat for it. I don't think Verizon will lose customers over a handful of apps they'll never use.
