Stop saying "DROID"

Why does my Droid3 say "Droid" periodically? And . . . how can I make it stop?

Does it just say it randomly, or is it doing something?

Saying Droid

It just does it periodically while in sleep mode. I can change the sound in the notifications menu, but cannot turn it off.

Are you sure it's not randomly re-booting? Does your phone say droid when it starts? if so, I would keep my eye on it to see if it is rebooting.... seems to be a common issue with these phones.... I am currently waiting on my 3rd X2 due to random re-boots, and call waiting not operating correctly. My X did it, My Ex wifes HTC did it and both of my kids phones did it (OG droid, Droid2)

I think iPhones should start saying "Apple" or "iPhone".

LOL! Thats just the default notification. You can change it to whatever you want.

I remember on my Motorola Slvr it would play that "Hello Moto" song...THAT was annoying heh heh
