Stop music from automatically playing

Is there a way to stop the default droid media app from starting when headphones are plugged in?

I usually want to start Pandora, but every time I plug the headphones in, the music app kicks in.

I wish I could tell you how to turn it off... but I can't figure out a way to turn it ON!
