Stock Gingerbread/Ice Cream Sandwich apps up for grabs, yet?

I know it's kind of a longshot, and I'm not so sure as to the legality of such a request, but has anyone managed to port the stock Ice Cream Sandwich/Gingerbread Gallery app to the Droid 4, yet? One of the few things that really irritates me about this phone is Motorola's ridiculous decision to replace stock Android apps with their counterproductive alternatives - "My Gallery", "My Music", et cetera. I don't use MOTOCAST, or MOTOPRINT, or, honestly, MOTOANYTHING; I feel it's counterproductive, trivial, useless, and unneeded bloat. I mean, they even went so far as to replace the stock Gingerbread launcher with their horrible alternative - they don't even offer us the choice to choose. I'm pretty sure the default Text Messaging app, even, is modified.

So, my question is this: has anyone managed to port the stock Gingerbread/Ice Cream Sandwich apps onto this phone, yet? And, if not, how difficult would that be? I'd love to use default AOSP apps instead of the alternatives that Motorola shoves down our throats, but my options aren't looking too good.

Thanks a ton for the link. However, before I install, I have one question:
Couldn't I, theoretically, grab the gallery.apk file from a random ICS ROM on another phone and install it on the Droid 4? I'm not sure how complex it would be to install an app that's packaged in another ROM onto the Droid 4, but it'd certainly be nice to be able to use the stock ICS Gallery app.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, the app that you linked to... my LG Ally had that app installed. Same functions, same style, same everything. Stock Froyo had it installed, and so did the other apps; it's a bit of a blast from the past for me.

I agree with you: the Moto apps are awful and useless. But I didn't care for the stock Gallery app in Froyo either. Did you ever try Quickpic? It's the only pic app I found so far that let's you specify the folder(s) it scans for pictures. Always drove me nuts to see any and every jpg, gif, wallpapers etc in my gallery.

I love Quickpic however I now have the problem that all the new pics don't show up. They are in My Gallery where they're all unsorted which I hate but not in QuickPic. I checked the settings and QP is set to look through the entire SD card but still no luck. Any suggestions?

As a side note, I do use MotoPrint. It works really well between the D4 and my Xerox laser printer. The rest of their apps are garbage IMHO

Hmm, that is strange... Any chance QP is set for searching the sd-ext while the pics are on the interior card, or vice versa?

I sure didn't think so but just went back in (again) and checked all the settings for both the camera and QP and all the settings are correct but QP does not see any of the new pictures I've taken with the camera. Sure has me baffled. This started before I upgraded to ICS so I know the upgrade didn't screw it up. It's puzzling because it used to work just fine and I hadn't changed any of the settings. Just one day it decided not to work I guess.

Maybe clear the data and cache for QuickPic under the app info? I've been using it since I got the D4 back in April and it's still working great for me.
