Stock Froyo Speed

Ok one of my techs at work has the evo and I've been using and noticed it was fast and after froyo update didn't really see how 2. 2 is suppose to make stuff faster where do you see the increase in speed? browsing seemed the same. Opening up apps seemed the same. Hope my Droid has least has a hint of speed increase

I'm hoping things just become smoother. For example, when I open my app tray and scroll down, it can be pretty choppy. Maybe I'm hoping for too much, but I'd love for it to become iPhone smooth.
