Still receive updates?

I am running Velocity V.0.4 Rom on my Ally right now. & what I need to know is when/if 2.2 froyo hits the ally will I still get a chance to download this? Not sure if using custom roms doesn't allow for updates to come to the phone. I would love 2.2 froyo on my ally. Thanks in advanced

Its still gonna come thru on ur phone or by checkin for updates. However how ur phone is setup or if it will install I really dunno
