I am a new Droid owner. I find it alright but very complicated. There are apparently still so many thing you can do with it but I find it hard to get past wallpaper, simple apps and email. Anything you can recommend as far as downloads and things to make it a little more exciting for me would be great. I'm just a little clueless.

Welcome! Have you read the FAQ section in the Forum? There a lots of threads that will help you figure out the capabilities of your phone. If you need a specific answer and can't find in the FAQ's post and the community will assist you.

For example:

What is the best browser? I was recommended SkyFire, but also the Dolphin browser.

And since the new update, my predictive text is on (I think), but doesn't work.

And are there any fun or handy apps that anyone deems as a must have?

I use the stock browser, it meets my needs. Opera has a new browser that many like.

Check your keyboard settings for predictive texting. I use the HTC keyboard and it works well, for me.
